About me
People who know me know how important family is to me. My wife and I are the proud parents of 4 children, 2 by birth and 2 added by marriages. We have welcomed four grandchildren to our family making us proud grandparents of two granddaughters and two grandsons. Being grandparents brings us to new adventures everyday, a true blessing in life. In addition to our "people" family, we also allow two miniature dachshunds and a boxer mix (who thinks he is a mini dachshund) to share our life in our home in Kannapolis, NC.
As a family, we are avid campers and especially enjoy camping along the coast. Additionally, we are active in our church in Concord where music is an important element in my life, serving as church organist and hand bell choir director for adults and children.
In my personal and professional life, children are very important to me. I love seeing children grow and find success everyday in their joy. At Davidson Elementary, I am very proud to serve the staff and students as principal, a role I have held since March 2012. I have been in education since 1999, primarily teaching 4th and 5th grades with short periods in 1st and 2nd grades. In 2006 I was accepted into the North Carolina Principal Fellow Program to prepare myself for a new career in school administration. As a principal, I feel I can be a part of every child's life that walks through the doors of the school daily. It is my hope and desire to find many years of success within this school and community.
